Our vision

Tagum Cooperative: The icon of trust and excellence in social and financial services of engaged and empowered members.

Company culture

Tagum Cooperative traces its roots to 1967 when the Maryknoll Fathers, through the Social Action Center (SAC), organized the Holy Name Society (HNS) Credit Union in Tagum with 38 founding members and an initial share capital of ₱80.00. In 1968, it was renamed Tagum Community Cooperative Credit Union, Inc. (TCCCUI) to serve the wider community and was officially registered in 1969. Over the years, the cooperative underwent several transformations, becoming Tagum Kilusang Bayan for Credit, Inc. (TKBCI) in 1975 and eventually Tagum Cooperative in 1976. Through strong leadership, sound governance, and the adoption of modern credit union technologies, the cooperative experienced significant growth and expanded its services to include savings and credit, insurance and protection programs, funeral services, and ancillary businesses. Today, Tagum Cooperative is recognized as one of the country's leading cooperatives, maintaining billionaire status and earning numerous awards for excellence, innovation, and quality service while continuously improving the lives of its members and communities.
